You bruise a bit easier but there is no additional pain with the
bruising. I have paw print bruising from my dogs. You bleed longer
if you get a cut (shaving cuts are particularly yucky) but not in
a hemophiliac wont stop way, more of an irritation than a risk.
Have a good day!
This is a brilliant site you may want
to look at, lots of answers. Overall there appears to be no
difference in mortality with either bare metal, drug coated stent
or medical treatment. How do we know if they are medicated or not?
I was never told anything about mine they were done in an
emergency so no negatives were mentioned.
How are you
doing? It is amazing how our bodies can take this and keep on
going. Hope things are going well for you and that you have
recovered nicely. I have been feeling extremely well lately, and
it scares me a bit.
He only looked at the last report. I
am not afraid of bleeding or so. Plavix is for me the only
possibility to keep the stent open. I have been living over 26
years with triple bypass and one of them has 5 stents.
I
still can feel one in my illiac artery after 10 years (its right
in the
plavix
best price of my thigh sometimes pinches a nerve). I dont know
if the feeling eventually fades or if you
buy
plavix in united kingdom used to it but after a while, you
wont notice the discomfort anymore. Ive been on plavix for 12
years. Its nowhere near as bad as being on, say, coumadin.
Thanks for the other link. I havent had a chance to check it out
in great detail, but it appears to have a wealth of information
there. Oh well, onward and upward! I have 5 stents in one of my
bypasses.
Signed the consent form, scared out of my
mind. I didnt have blockage. So, here it is. I also am learning to
accept these facts.
You can have spasms in addition to a
blockages. I have 14 stents (10 in my heart, 4 in my illiac
arteries). Some are bare metal some are medicated. Its not choking
you you can breathe fine but god do you know its there!
I do not know if that makes a difference. I do feel my new
friends. Restenosis is still too common a problem. The difference
between the two however, is about 3% in overall mortality.
Did the patients make life style changes, (diet, exercise, quit
smoking)did they take meds faithfully or at all and so on. My
overall research on stents still shows an overall advantage to the
drug alluded stents but in comparing overall
mortality the difference
is miniscule. I have read a recent finding verifying that aspirin
alone does a better job after a 1 year regimin of plavix and
aspirin. So you should be
able to settle on aspirin alone
after a year.
Does anyone have any insight into this?
And, this might really sound like a dumb question, but can a stent
be taken out? I am just so confused about all of plavix drug
coated stent. Thanks for any input.
Was living scared. I
have not had any spasms
with the stent. At least
for me, the fear was controlling me. He said go for it.
I had a blast three weeks ago. One bad fall. Lived through it. Not
letting that fear control me.
I hope, it will be better
than the other ones. I just dont know what to think. Did you ever
have problems with blood clots prior? I am still worried about the
stent.
That study released yesterday! Stents, once
thought of as a magic bullet are proving to need watching. I
suspect our aherance to lifestyle changes will, in the end, make
all the difference. The first restenosed within the first year, so
another was added.
We close all journal entries after 90
days.
I just sooo wish the dr had not put the stent in.
Have a wonderful weekend! They dont even consider placing it
unless its that far blocked. If they placed a stent on less, then
its time for a lawyer a new cardio.
Im grateful just to
be alive. I am trying to live my life as if nothing has changed.
He said it was not necessary be on it after two years to prevent
stroke after angioplasty. It sounds like my doctor is treating me
different.
So all this is new to me. Im going to make it
a point to aske them both about this. Thanks everyone for the
info. Interesting statement about the lawyer.
